Writing Hands-on
The movie Titanic released in 1997 is unforgettable to me for many reasons. First, the story is quite real. This ship really existed. It was the largest ship ever built, and it was thought to be unsinkable. The sinking of this ship was real, though tragic. It sank on its maiden voyage with a great loss of lives.
Second, there are many touching scenes about romance and love in this movie. For example, Jack said, “You jump; I jump,” in order to keep Rose from jumping into the sea, and he kept on talking to Rose to encourage her to fight to live on, even though he ended up freezing to death in the water himself. Another scene in this film where an old couple lay on a bed, waiting hand in hand to die together, is also memorable.
Moreover, the contrast in the film between the poor and the rich and the contrast between selfishness and sacrifice give the audience an opportunity to contemplate the real meaning of life.
Last but not least, the film’s theme song My Heart Will Go On has certainly remained popular for a long time, making this movie even more unforgettable.
