Narration: Telling a Story from a Picture
I work part-time as a waitress at a buffet restaurant. Every time I clean the tables, my mind boggles at the unfinished dishes. It seems that my customers take much more food than they can really consume. Their eyes are bigger than their stomach, and I just can’t understand what they fetch themselves so much food for. I still remember the news I read years ago a family leading a happy life until the mother was diagnosed with cancer. Her children went to the hospital every day and cherished every moment they could spend with their mother. One day, the volunteer workers took them out for lunch, but the children just ordered a bowl of noodles and insisted on delivering it to their mother first. Obviously, a mere bowl of noodles was very precious to them. Looking at the food left uneaten on the table, I know that I should cherish food. It’s such a crime to waste food while there are some people starving in other places around the world.
